The People Have Spoken

Bush’s baby, that horrid amnesty immigration bill, has gone down in flames. . .again, thank God.  Americans were so outraged by the idea of rewarding parasitic illegals with citizenship that they flooded the Senate switchboard with calls—so many calls that the whole system shut down!

Dubya expressed disappointment that the bill was blocked:  “Congress really needs to prove to the American people that it can come together on hard issues,” he said.

No, Dubs, that’s not what Congress needs to do.  Congress really needs to represent the wishes and interests of the citizens who elected them, and the will of the people on this issue is very simple: enforce our immigration laws and secure the border.  Period.

  1. “Congress really needs to prove to the American people that it can come together on hard issues,”

Yes, it does – by enforcing our current laws and repealing any nonsense that Ted Kennedy put into place.
