Send the Skank Back to Jail

Looks like a lot of other people are just as disgusted by Paris Hilton’s early release as I am: the judge has ordered her back to court.  Understandably, he and the prosecutor were pretty miffed that the Sheriff violated the court’s order, which specified that Hilton was not to be allowed house arrest.  Civil rights activists and former inmates of the jail are also making themselves heard, pointing out that there are proper avenues for handling health issues of inmates, and no one else would get released to house “arrest” for feeling a little anxious or stressed out.  Good for them.

For the first time in my life ever I find myself rooting for Al Sharpton, who is headed to LA to milk this publicity opportunity for all it’s worth.  For once the Rev is using his powers for good: Go, Al, go!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sheriff caved in to threats of harassment and intimidation (via litigation, natch) from the Hiltons’ hired pit bull attorneys.  People like the Hiltons think the law and our criminal justice system is their bitch: here’s hoping they get put in their place (although I’m not quite ready to hold my breath waiting for that).
